THE TRANSFER OF SPIRITS

AND

THE MASONIC FUNERAL SERVICE

wpe2A.gif (1861 bytes)

Many family members have contacted us about demonic manifestations in their homes before and after a loved one who was a member of the Masons passed away. Therefore, we decided to address these issues in this tract format so that it could be easily distributed to all those concerned.

All Freemasons are demonized to some degree.

All Christians must agree that any degree of demonization is not acceptable.

We will compare references from actual Masonic resources to Scriptures in the Holy Bible. While we must stop short of saying that all Freemasons are demon possessed, we must accurately state that all Freemasons are demonized to some extent because all Freemasons commit Idolatry. Beginning with the first degree of the Blue Lodge and all through the rest of the degrees of Masonry, the Mason prays to a god, they call The Grand Architect of the Universe (G.A.O.T.U.). This Masonic god is clearly not the God of the Bible because he promises salvation to Masons on the basis of their works, without faith in Jesus Christ. It does not matter that the Mason protests, "It does not mean that to me," because it does not matter what we think Idolatry is, it matters what God says that Idolatry is. The word of God says that prayer and worship to gods other than the God of the Bible is Idolatry.

(Exo 20:3-5 KJV) Thou shalt have no other gods before me. {4} Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: {5} Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

(Psa 96:5 KJV) For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

The word of God also tells us that when we commit Idolatry that we come into contact with the demonic and we are demonized to some degree.

(1 Cor 10:19-22 KJV) What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? {20} But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. {21} Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. {22} Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

This Scripture also points out to us the obvious truth that fellowship with demons is to cut ourselves off from the fellowship with God.

PARTICIPATION IN MASONRY CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS DEMONIC BONDAGE

Many people believe this statement and we can find the personal testimony of a Freemason in Masonic literature describing the spirits that energize the various degrees of Masonry. Certainly not all masons will have this degree of awareness of the "Masonic demons" and because of the deceptive nature of demons many men will not be aware of their presence at all. However, you can be assured on the authority of God’s word that their presence can be present to some degree. The next quote is from 33rd degree Mason and theosophist, C. W. Leadbeater, from his book, THE HIDDEN LIFE IN FREEMASONRY, P. 329, 326, 336.

It must of course be understood in all cases that, though the conferring of the Higher Degrees puts certain definite powers in the hands of the recipient, it does not instantly endow him with the knowledge of how he is to employ them.

The highest and last of the sacramental powers

of the Ancient Mysteries which have been transmitted to us is that of the Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the 33rd degree ......The 33rd degree links the Sovereign Grand Inspector General with the Spiritual King of the World Himself—that Mightiest of Adepts who stands at the head of the Great White Lodge, in whose strong hands lie the destinies of earth—and awakens the powers of the Triple Spirit as far as they can yet be awakened.2

The 30th degree brings its Angel also, of appropriate character

—a great blue Deva of the First Ray, who lends his strength to the Knight K.H., somewhat as the crimson Angel assists the Ex. and perf. Bro. of the Rose-Croix. The 33degree gives two such splendid fellow-workers—spirits of gigantic size as compared to humanity, and radiantly white in colour......He who stands usually on the right hand of the Sovereign Grand Inspector General has an aura of brilliant white light shot with gold, and represents Osiris, the sun and the life, the positive aspect of the Deity; she who stands on the left has an aura of similar light veined with silver, and represents Isis, the moon and the truth, the negative or finite aspect of the Divine Glory.3

Yet when one of these bright Spirits is attached to us by a Masonic ceremony we must not think of him either as a director or as an attendant, but simply as a co-worker and a brother.

The next example is from a Mason that was delivered from demonic bondage. This example comes from the ministry of Bill Subritzksy, DEMONS DEFEATED, P. 48 & 49. Our ministry along with many other ministries can testify of similar testimonies.

I well recall a leading member of a Christian organization who came to me because he and his wife were having some problems. The Holy Spirit quickly showed that this man had been a member of the Freemasonry Lodge approximately twenty-five years earlier, and although he had left the lodge he had never formally severed his connections with it, and in fact still had some of the regalia in his home. Like the other persons referred to earlier, this man was a Spirit-filled, tongue speaking Christian of high standing in a Pentecostal church. He readily agreed to renounce again all involvement with the Freemasonry Lodge and to burn the regalia. After he had made this renunciation and the deliverance ministry commenced, a demon clearly manifested itself through this man. It threw him on the floor like a snake and he slithered along the floor and up the wall of the bedroom. His wife was horrified. Finally the demon left him. The power of the strong man had been bound and, as often happens in the deliverance ministry, the man was left weak after the strong man departed. We prayed again that he be filled with the Holy Spirit. He rested for approximately two hours before he regained his full strength.

IF A PERSON HAS A DEMON,

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE DEMON WHEN THE PERSON DIES?

(Luke 11:24-26 KJV) When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. {25} And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. {26} Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

This Scripture should help us to realize how important it is for every family member to be aware of what could happen when their Masonic relative dies. Each person that is associated with the dead Mason has the possibility of demonic transference. The Bible teaches us that when an unclean spirit leaves a person it will desire to return to the house that it came out of. If the person that the unclean spirit came out of is still alive, the unclean spirit will re-enter the person if he finds him garnished with only good works and religion and Not filled wit the Holy Spirit trusting in Jesus as their personal savior and Lord.

The Bible also tells us the unclean spirit will also bring with it seven other more powerful demons to increase the bondage. However, if the person with the demon(s) dies, the demon(s) will first try to enter the house of family of the deceased person. The word "house" means not only what you live in, but your family lineage. When a Mason dies, if he is not a born-again Christian and has not repented and asked for cleansing, the demons that he has undoubtedly been carrying will go out to find another person to dwell in. A person that is a born-again Christian, living a holy life free from sin, they will not be affected. However, the unsaved should be forewarned of the danger involved.

MASONIC FUNERAL

The Masonic fraternity keeps a hold on a Mason right up to the end when that Mason is put in the grave. As a spouse or family member you need to be aware of this fact and you have the right to refuse such burial services.

When a religious ceremony is conducted over the remains, either at the house or church, the Lodge shall not take charge, or participate in the ceremonies, until after the duties of the minister have been concluded. After the Lodge takes charge of the remains of the deceased brother, it shall have entire control of the funeral ceremonies and procession until the rites are completed and the body is laid to rest. The active pall-bearers shall be Master Masons....It is highly improper to ask a minister not a Mason to perform any of these duties, the rites are exclusively Masonic, and no profane shall participate in them. (LIGHTFOOT’S MANUAL OF THE LODGE, (TEXAS), P. 96)

MASONIC BURIAL

Everywhere in the United States, a Freemason in good standing has the right, if he requests it, to a Masonic burial with the ceremonies of the order, to be conducted by his lodge or, if he is away from home, by any lodge to which his request has been directed.....The Master and brethren of the lodge, pursuant to dispensation (as required by the regulation of 1754) attended, accompanied by as many lodges and their officers as might be thought proper. The brethren walking in procession observed "decent Mourning, with White Stockings, Gloves, and Aprons." Officers wore white sashes and hatbands, and the officers of the deceased’s own lodge carried white rods. The Tyler, with his sword, led the procession, which ended with the pall-bearers, the mourners, the two Stewards and a second Tyler. Members of the lodge carried flowers and herbs (see Acacia) in their hands. The Bible and Book of Constitutions were carried on a cushion preceding a ring around the grave, leaving an opening for the officiating lodge, the mourners, etc., to enter. Sometimes the gloves and apron of the deceased were cast into the grave, and usually all present dropped sprigs of acacia or evergreens into the grave. (COILS MASONIC ENCYCLOPEDIA, P. 109.)

WOULD A MASONIC FUNERAL MAKE THE TRANSFERENCE OF A DEMON

TO A FAMILY MEMBER MORE LIKELY?

THE ANSWER IS, "YES," FOR SEVERAL REASONS

1. The rituals of Freemasonry are based upon the idolatrous rites of the Mystery Religions and are therefore demonically energized.

In the Ancient Mysteries (those sacred rites which have furnished so many models for Masonic symbolism),... (LIGHTFOOT’S MANUAL OF THE LODGE, (TEXAS), P. 1)

The Ancient Mysteries were practiced as a means of perfecting the soul, of making it know its own dignity, of reminding it of its noble origin and immortality, and consequently of its relations with the Universe and the Deity. (LIGHTFOOT’S MANUAL OF THE LODGE, (TEXAS), P. 147)

2. The Masonic funeral service promises salvation without Jesus.

Bless our beloved Fraternity throughout the world; may we live and emulate the example of our beloved brother; and, finally, may we in this world attain a knowledge of Thy truth, an in the world to come, life everlasting. Amen. Response. So mote it be. (LIGHTFOOT’S MANUAL OF THE LODGE, (TEXAS), P. 99)

Here we see they are told to follow the example of their fellow lodge brother, not Jesus Christ.

3. The Masonic funeral service seeks to link the fate of the deceased in the afterlife with that of all other Masons, many of whom were devout occultists and non Christians.

The apron we deposit in the grave of our brother as a reminder of our unity in service, of the common destiny that beckons us hence, of the Masonic spirit of universality that linked us as brothers, and although barriers of wealth, political power or social prestige may have kept us temporarily apart, Death, the great leveller, brings us at last to one distinction, reduces us to a common grade, makes us to know that, born as we are into one great brotherhood, no circumstance of chance or achievement shall serve to separate us in Eternity. (LIGHTFOOT’S MANUAL OF THE LODGE, (TEXAS), P. 113-114)

4. The Masonic funeral service uses three dimensional occult objects that are not of God and attract the demonic.

(Deu 7:25-26 KJV) The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. {26} Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

These include: the apron (#3), Masonic insignia on the coffin, and the sprig of evergreen (acacia)

.The body, with the insignia placed upon the coffin. (LIGHTFOOT’S MANUAL OF THE LODGE, (TEXAS), P. 100)

The Master, and each of the Brethren successively, as he reaches the head, will throw in a sprig of evergreen. The evergreen should be thrown in at the head of the grave only. (LIGHTFOOT’S MANUAL OF THE LODGE, (TEXAS), P. 104)

The ‘acacia’ or evergreen has been used many years, possibly centuries, as a symbol of immortality or of a resurrection.

5. The Masonic funeral service sends many Masons into Eternity trusting only in Freemasonry for their salvation.

Freemasonry has a religious service to commit the body of a deceased brother to the dust whence it came and to speed the liberated spirit back to the Great Source of Light. Many Freemasons make this flight with no other guarantee of a safe landing than their belief in the religion of Freemasonry. If this is a false hope, the Fraternity should abandon funeral services and devote its attention to activities where it is sure of its ground and its authority. (COILS MASONIC ENCYCLOPEDIA, P. 512.)

Thus these Commentaries are brought to a close with the thought of a life of blessedness beyond death. The inculcation of this faith is one of the supreme objects of Masonry. (LIGHTFOOT’S MANUAL OF THE LODGE, (TEXAS), P. 250)

WHAT CAN WE DO?

We can warn members of the Masons and other related organizations to repent and ask Jesus to close the doors they have opened to the occult and seal them with the Holy Spirit. Please remember, demons can be transferred while the demoniacally infested person is alive as well as at the time of death. We can warn family members or close friends who may be close to the Masonic member during the time of death about the dangers of demonic transference. The moment the person dies, the risk to the family is extremely high if they are not really saved. They are in danger of attracting the demon(s) that are released. The demon(s) may attempt to invade them if they have open doors or are not really saved, cleansed of their sins, and under the protection of the blood of Jesus. We can give them this tract and others to help them understand the true nature of Freemasonry and its demonic dangers.

If it is after the fact, and the Masonic member has already deceased, we can offer healing and deliverance to the family and friends. They can still repent of their sins, accept Jesus as Lord and savior and then ask Jesus to cleanse them of any demons, close any doors opened to the occult and fill them with the Holy Spirit.

There may need to be further, more intense ministry such as asking for soul ties, iniquities, and word curses to be broken. These areas of healing along with an explanation of salvation are discussed in our healing workbook, FROM VICTIMS TO VICTORS - THROUGH THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST - Gilead’s Balm ($15.00 + $3.00 Shipping and Handling love gift)
